Become a Member of LibNA

LibNA Membership is on a January to December renewal calendar basis. When Joining after January 31, new members pay a full dues amount for the category which describes their nursing status. On December 31, they will renew at a prorated amount according to the month they joined, to get them on a January to December renewal schedule.

Open Membership

Membership is open to any nurse (RN, LPN/LVN) and nursing students – to better facilitate discussion and to meet the most important objective of LibNA – strengthening, supporting, and advocating health care in the Liberian communities based in Liberia and USA.

Membership in the Association is available by application (see below) and elections, provided to Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses, entry level nursing students, and anyone the Board Deems worthy of Membership.

LibNA membership is unrestricted by consideration of age, color, creed, handicap, sexual orientation, lifestyle, nationality, race, religion, or gender.

Types of Memberships

Full Membership – Registered Nurses
Full membership is open to any Registered Nurse. Privileges include: A voice with vote at LibNA meetings, Appointment or election to LibNA office, Receive the quarterly newsletter and reports, Chapter membership privileges
Dues = $60.00 per year
(New graduates may join during the first year after graduation for a Transitional RN Rate of $50.00)

Full Membership – LPN/LVN
Full membership is open to any Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse. Privileges include: A voice with vote at LibNA meetings, Appointment or election to LibNA office, Receive the quarterly newsletter and reports, Chapter membership privileges
Dues = $60.00 per year
(New graduates may join during the first year after graduation for a Transitional LPN/LVN
Rate of $40.00)

Retired/Disabled Nurse
We offer membership at a discounted rate for those who have served us in the nursing field and are now retired or disabled.
Privileges include: May serve on chapter committees, hold chapter office, Vote at chapter meetings if permitted by Chapter Bylaws, May serve on national committees.
Yearly Dues $40.00-Retired RN/LPN/LVN

Associate Membership (Members of the Public)
Members of the public are Associate Members. Privileges include: May serve on chapter committees, hold chapter office, Vote at chapter meetings if permitted by Chapter Bylaws, May serve on national committees.
Dues $35.00 – LPN/LVN

Student Membership
A Student Membership is open to nursing students in entry-level programs that have not received a license. Student members may serve on chapter committees, hold chapter office, Vote at chapter meetings if permitted by Chapter Bylaws, and may serve on national committees. Proof of enrollment in nursing school is required to receive the Student Rate

Corporate Membership
Corporate membership is available to companies providing services to the healthcare industry/profession. Corporate membership entitles the company to have two representatives that are considered members of LibNA. The people representing the corporate membership are not required to be Nurses. Corporate members will receive the LibNA newsletter, decals, recognition, and are entitled to member rates on LibNA functions and advertising. New Members

Each member will receive a letter confirming membership, a membership card and LibNA decal. This is mailed within 10 to 14 business days of processed payment.

Full annual LibNA membership dues for career RNs, LPN/LVs.

Membership Dues (1st Year Nurses & Retired RN/LPN/LVN)
$40.00
Annual LibNA membership dues for nurses in transition (those nurses in their first year since completing degree) or for Retired RNs/LPN/LVNs.

Membership Dues (ASSOCIATE)
$35.00
Annual LibNA membership dues for practicing members of the general public who serve in environments that support nursing (hospitals, nursing homes, universities/colleges, medical facilities, etc).

Membership Dues (Nursing Students)
$30.00
Annual LibNA membership dues for pre-licensed nursing students (those earning their first degree in nursing).

Cancellation Policy

Any membership may be cancelled within 30 days no questions ask. No cancellations will be issued 30 days after payment of membership dues are made.

Membership Confirmation

Each member will receive a letter confirming membership, a membership card, and LibNA decal. This is mailed within 10 to 14 business days of processed payment.

Refund Policy

Any membership dues paid to LibNA may be refunded within 30 days no questions asked. No refunds will be issued 30 days after payment of membership dues are made.

LibNA treats all information received in a membership application as confidential information. LibNA does not provide any information about a member to any outside source. LibNA does use information from membership applications for communications. NO credit card data distributed or shared with any outside source.
